Deal Opinion - 10% Off At FractionPrice.com

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

fractionpricelogo.jpg

A recent post at the very popular blog, A Socialite’s Life asks the question whether fame can be bought. In the case of an ABA basketball team, it’s entirely possible. But, how about those of us that don’t quite have that level of money. Is FractionPrice.com the answer?

This may be my new favorite store at Jellyfish.com. There is something about it that I find intiguing in a cheap, replicated kind of way.

The tagline says it all - “Star Fashion for Just a Fraction”. FractionPrice offers replica sunglasses, purses, watches and jewelry similar to what the celebrities are wearing. They have more Not-Fendi bags, Not-Louis Vuitton wallets and Not-Prada sunglasses than anywhere I’ve ever seen.

My favorite thing about this site is how you can click on a category and then select styles based on a celebrity picture. Let’s pretend that I’m in the market for a new pair of sunglasses. I can click on a picture of Brad Pitt to see all of the styles he has been wearing as of late. I choose my replica pair, flow through the checkout process and within a few days, I’m out on the town dodging the paparazzi with my new Not-Christian Dior shades.

Not that you need an additional reason to shop at this site, but FractionPrice.com is offering 10% off from 09/01/06 through 09/04/06. On top of that, Jellyfish offers 11.3% cash back on all purchases. Shipping is reasonable too. It appears to be a standard $4.99 for sunglasses and jewelry, and $9.99 for purses. The also offer a number of ongoing buy 2, get 1 free type of deals.

This little pointing device has a lot of features for less than $20. Most importantly, it comes with rechargeable batteries and a USB charge cable that charges it even while in use. It is a good size at 1.4″(H) X 2.3″(W) X 4.7″(D) and includes five buttons.

Unless you are a hardcore gamer, there is really no excuse not to have a wireless mouse. From personal experience, you’ll make up $18.77 in battery costs over the lifetime of this mouse.

Deal Opinion - Madden 2007 - $12 Off And A 2.3% Discount.

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006

Madden07.jpgAs IGN Reports, “…the day Madden ships to stores probably costs the American workforce millions of dollars as thousands of people across the country call in sick to play hours upon hours of this phenomenon known as polygonal pigskin.”

Now, anybody who has bought a video game the day it comes out is used to paying a very standard price. Let’s take a look at the popular Xbox 360 platform pricing for Madden 07.

Amazon.com - $59.95

Best Buy - $59.99

Buy.com - $57.99

Walmart - $55.82

Target - $59.99

Not much variation, eh? Well, I’ve found that Circuit City offers a much better deal. They are currently offering $12 off Madden on a number of platforms if purchased online and are offering free shipping on orders over $25. Jellyfish is also giving 2.3% cash back at Circuit City. That makes the bottom line price $46.88.

Platforms with $12 off are Xbox 360, Xbox, PSP, Playstation 2 and Game Cube.

Two Star Deal - Iomega Silver Edition 320GB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive - $116.73 (shipped)

Monday, August 21st, 2006

MSRP - $159.95

Buy.com Price - $139.95

- 2.3% Jellyfish Discount

- $20 Rebate

= $116.73 (shipped) - Click here to buy!

Lowest on Amazon.com - $159.95

IomegaDrive.jpg

The capicity keeps getting bigger and the price keeps getting smaller! You may recall that I recently posted a Fantom 120GB External Hard Drive for $58.15. To make a long story short, they sold like hot cakes and the price rebounded very quickly. In my opinion, Iomega is a much more reputable brand and definitely deserving of a two star deal.

Set your mind at ease. Continue snapping pictures of your cute little children and find solice in your new place to store them.
